We always seem to stop here on our canal boating travels.  Many reasons: Gift shop, two pubs, a shop, plenty of mooring spots (usually) and an electric lift bridge. The lift bridge is operated by boaters (with a BWB key), which involves stopping all road traffic with a barrier and pressing a button. The kids absolutely love it as do the first timers. This manoeuvre will begin tomorrow as we have moored before the bridge.
A lush sunset resulted in me standing on top of the boat from where we were moored. Taken with my Samsung mobile (see yesterdays blip) using the HDR mode. Quite pleased with the result.

An easy and relaxing day meant I finished HG Wells' The Invisible Man and started the War of the Worlds while soaking up the sun. Nice.
