Chapel

A good day with R, he was delighted to see mum and I, laughed and smiled as we talked together. We enjoyed having lunch together in the ward dining room, his movements slow but he managed to eat everything without any help. He said he usually rested after lunch and was quite happy for mum and I to leave him.

On our way out we passed the chapel. The stained window depicting the Canterbury landscape rather than a religious scene being a place for all faiths, religious or not.

Princess Margaret Hospital was opened on 31 August 1959 serving as a public hospital but today is now primarily used for older persons health care and mental health services. The hospital was named after Princess Margaret, sister of Queen Elizabeth II.
