Small Tortoiseshell

Woke to brilliant sunshine and it's hot, hot, hot.  

Going to friends this afternoon for a big party for the Badminton Club.  I used to play very badly go along for a bit of exercise but had to give up due to neck problems.  When you're my size it's further to look up and even harder to get the shuttlecock over the net.  It looks as though it will be warm well into the evening, so the "bite stuff" will be going with us as will the boules.

This Small Tortoiseshell dropped by for a dewy drink this morning but wouldn't open up its wings for me.
