Ramblings and Mutterings

Zip World Caverns

Thankfully we were able to have a lie in this morning after celebrating our ascent of Crib Goch and Snowdon yesterday, as we weren’t due at Zip World until 10am.

Zip World is based in the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Blaenau Ffestiniog, and it’s one of many new adventure attractions to the area.  You’ve got Zip World which is all about zip lines, and Bounce Below which are trampolines in the caverns underground, and further up north you have Surf Snowdonia an inland surf area.  Zip World has a number of different zip lines, you’ve got Velocity which is the longest zip line in Europe and the fastest in the world, Titan which is a 4 person zip line and Caverns which is an underground zip line course.

Velocity and Titan were fully booked up when we decided to go, so we went with Caverns and I’m so glad we did.  It was a blast from start to finish, the zip lines got longer and faster the more you went along the course, and there was also some via ferrata, wobbly rope bridges and other challenges.  By the time you finish the course, you’ve been down under for about 3 hours, but it is so much fun the time just flies by.  During this 3 hours, you get comprehensive training on all the equipment and what you need to be doing.

This weekend has just been immense!
