Thank you

We wanted to say thank you to all of the people that helped us to care for mum when she was very ill.  One suggestion we had from a senior nurse at the hospice was for fruit rather than chocolates or flowers.  So here are the first two of our boxes ready for delivery - one for the staff of the in-patient unit at the hospice and the second for the Rapid Response team who are part of the Community Nursing team.  Fortunately we met up with one of the sisters that had visited mum several times when we arrived at Mount Vernon Hospital.  Her reaction was how much better than chocolates especially for people who have diabetes.

Walking past the canal basin in Manchester provided another opportunity to add to my collection of images from there.  The light was creating wonderful reflections in the water and I love the layering of the bridges in this urban environment.
Print - we've been experimenting with waterless lithography which I think has a lot of potential, it works so well with drawn and painted marks.  This is the plate rather than the print.  Unfortunately I got a bit too much silicon on the plate which has meant that all of the water based material has not washed off completely (the sugar lift was fine).  So I made another attempt just using crayon.  We'll see what happens the next time I'm in the studio.
