Flashback to WAC09

Six years ago this week was the final week of the World Aerobatic Championships at Silverstone in 2009. It was the event that sealed my decision to take my private pilot's licence, a dream that began a couple of years earlier through aerobatic events with Ultimate High.

WAC09 was an event where I formed strong friendships with aerobatic pilots, judges, organisers and commentators some of whom would become close friends and some would become my PR clients.

This week is the final week of the World Aerobatic Championships 2015 in France. British Aerobatic Champion Gerald Cooper is currently in fourth position overall as part of Team GBR and all the British aviation community are routing for him. See a video bio of Gerald here. Gerald has a unique style that never fails to impress and is awesome to watch.

I'm also keeping an eye on the progress of Melissa Pemberton Team USA. A highly skilled professional air show pilot and an all round adventurer that competed in WAC09 as an independent entry. Here's her bio video.

Happy memories...
