Bracket Fungus

When we were down at Silverdale Clickychick managed to get some slices off tree trunks which she feels will be suitable for a project she has in mind.

SO the slices were brought home and put in the garden ready for her to begin the project in a week or so's time.  The logs were not newly cut in fact I think the aged gnarled look was what appealed.

Since then these two bracket fungi have appeared.  I have absolutely no idea what they are the only bracket fungus I can identify with any degree of certainty is Birch Polypore, and then mainly because of the tree.
