The Black and White Show

Have you noticed artists often dress like their work?
I saw this curious phenomenon again today when I walked into the  &Collective gallery in Bridge of Allan for the opening of Bea Last’s exhibition.“ Black and White Series”.

 
A quick glance around the gallery revealed the only person who could possibly be the artist .
Sure enough a woman dressed in black and white stepped forward and introduced herself.
 
Bea is unusual amongst the artistic community in that she is also a highly focused entrepeneur who has successfully embraced the internet to further her career.
The result is that her work is much in demand amongst the international corporate world who are looking for contemporary art to make a big statement about themselves.
 

So effective is she in producing the work and marketing herself that some pieces for this exhibition was sold before it even reached the gallery!
