Eastnor

The five of us went to Eastnor Castle this morning - the local 'stately home' and venue for weddings and events etc.  The phrase 'over the top' does nothing to convey the size, style and decor of the rooms.  Most strikingly unusual and OTT was the HUGE light fitting in the Gothic Drawing Room - a sort of Steampunk-meets-UFO-spaceship affair.

Was interestingly surprised to discover that the castle and the Dell House are basically the same age. 

We had a wander of the grounds but as it was drizzling it was a fairly circumspect wander; though we did do the maze (a fairly classic affair, with yew hedges) which was a bit of fun.
