Cruising

Quite a long day's cruising today.  We started with a 2.5km long tunnel.  The tunnel entrance, (and our blurb) assure us that there is 2 way traffic in the tunnel, and we did manage to pass one boat today, with only a small bump!  There's a view of me steering on extras (lots of drips - I was quite wet).

We also managed to pass through 3 locks, with not too much trauma (there's a view in the lock on extras).  There were quite a few really narrow spots - only just wider than the boat, but a lot of today's cruising was in a nice wide canal through Birmingham, which was also not at all busy.

We're now parked up (again, quite a traumatic experience, but having had some advice from another canal user, we hopefully will manage better next time) outside the Black Country Living Museum.  We plan to spend most of tomorrow there, and then move on the following day.

Catching the wifi in a local hostelry, as we still haven't made the wifi on the boat work for us.

Edit on 2nd Sept - it is annoying that blip sometimes seems to put my photos on sideways - I have to load them on sideways myself to overcome this - I've reloaded the extra in the tunnel
