It's been dry all day, and sunny for much of the time. But the wind has moved to the north, and though it's still gentle, the air has chilled and there is suddenly a sense of autumn. I felt it this morning, when the arrangements for the rest of the day tempted us out to walk quite early, and I can certainly feel it now. But this evening, as we headed across to St John's hall for our choir practice, I was struck by this wonderfully dramatic cloud against the dark grey of the rest of that bit of sky. Clearly, the setting sun is still shining on it, although the car park below is sunk in dusk.

It was a great rehearsal, by the way ...
