An ordinary life....

By Damnonii

Oh Dear...

You may remember I mentioned about 8 or 9 weeks ago that Linsey the physiotherapist (who worked a miracle on my gummed up back) told me that her hubby was a nutrition expert, specialising in personalised diet plans (diet as in for life, not just weight loss) based on detailed questionnaires about your health, lifestyle, medical history, which includes thorough testing in order to determine your metabolic type (apparently crucial info when trying to make major changes to your lifestyle.)

Well anyway, being desperately keen to lose weight and get fit, David and I both completed the questionnaires / tests and our results are in.

The good news is both our results are similar so we have both been recommended to use the Diet Plan #3-O, Mixed Oxidative Dominant (?!)

When it comes to my metabolic type, I am:-

AUTONOMIC: BALANCED (R)
OXIDATIVE: MIXED (R)
ENDOCRINE: GONAD/THYROID "CUSP"
DOMINANCE: MIXED

Okaaay then.

This first 15 page report (there are three reports altogether of similar length and complexity!!) goes on to discuss things such as my recommended macronutrient ratio, endocrine based recommendations and supplement suggestions.

Eh???  Run that by me again?!!!

After concentration harding hard trying to make sense of it all, I have finally reached the diet plan.  Can you see my "not happy" face up there?  Shot taken just after reading the following:-

ENDOCRINE: GONAD/THYROID "CUSP"  - Avoid teacoffee, cola, refined carbs, desserts, alcohol and fruit

Aka all the things that make life worth living!

Snack - boiled egg

In six months time (if I haven't gouged out my own eyes, dipped them in sugar and eaten them) I will have lost tons of weight but be the most crabbit cow on the planet.  Oh and if snacking, I best avoid naked flames!!!

Linsey's hubby is coming to visit David and I tonight to go over our results in detail and help us make sense of them.  I am hoping to persuade him that gin doesn't count as alcohol ;-)))

Wish me luck!
