I blinked...

and it was Autumn!

I honestly can't believe it's the first of September already.  It seems minutes since I was buying Easter eggs and looking forward to summer.  The summer that never was!  Hey ho.  

So, my thoughts are now turning to the new season and jobs that need done.  

Top of my list is getting the chimney looked at after our disaster on Christmas Day 2013 .  We weren't brave enough to attempt lighting it again last year but we are determined to have a real fire this winter.  David has identified a chimney sweep business that specialises in chimney problems so is arranging for them to visit.  Watch this space :-))

Proving that life really is a circle, I've just realised that I blipped the exact same thing a year ago today!  Interesting to see how green the little sporangia are compared to this year.  A sign of the good summer last year I think.  And Alan was recovering from a colitis flare up! 

For my own amusement, I want to record the fact I ordered my Christmas cards today.  Let's see if I can get them written and sent out before the last posting day before Christmas!  :-)))
