I spent 5 hours today in Committee Room 2 of the Scottish Parliament at the first Rural Affairs Committee session on the Land Reform Bill. That piece of legislation is going to take up much of my autumn and winter and I am - genuinely - looking forward to the process though it will be complex, detailed and lengthy. We made a good start this morning with some keen questioning of the civil servants who are taking the bill forward

Then this evening I spent an hour and a half in Committee Room 4 as co-chair of the Cross Party Group on Malawi. The topic was school partnerships and we heard some fascinating stories about superb work especially from Gleniffer High & Stockbridge Primary.

I took this at the second of these sessions not just to record something of it but also because not many people will have seen the amazing architecture of all the main committee rooms in the Parliament ( though they are all different too) especially from the top of the committee table.
