Life in Sunny Dubai

Went along to the opening service of the Salvation Army in Dubai church this evening. SO nice that is so close to us and has parking on the premises, so no having to walk through a mall to get to it. The last time we were here was for the last meeting before they broke up for the summer. I love the premises (The Norwegian Seamen's mission) and the simplicity of the worship - the only instrument is the baby grand piano, but really, I should have stayed home as I was way too tired to appreciate it fully.

Ran an errand after this, and discovered that our favourite Lebanese food restaurant - Yahala - have closed!!! They've been going for ever in our precinct and this really is a shock to the system. SweetArt has threatened to cancel her trip to Dubai because of it!

Anyway, we ended up eating at another local shawarma place but they're not quite as good with their food as Yahala. Oh well... the hunt is on to find another authentic Lebanese restaurant in Karama! The evening didn't end well; so I gave blipping a miss! Let's just say, I'm too much of a stickler for doing things properly.
