The Lozarithm Lens

Lacock (Monday 31st August 2015)

I was in Lacock on Bank Holiday Monday and went for a walk alongside the River Avon there, next to Lacock Abbey. I saw a flash of blue fly into a tree and waited patiently hoping to confirm that it was a kingfisher, but it didn't reappear. I did see a group of long-tailed tits and a wren on a nearby branch. Swallows circled the field, just above the grass and one juvenile swallow landed on a stalk close by, enabling me to get the closest shot of a swallow I had yet achieved (see the Extra).

There was a market on the High Street where I bought some apple crumble, red tomato and ginger chutney and marmalade, and when I saw this stall holder I had to ask if I could take his picture!

The Dead Weather - I Feel Love (Every Million Miles) (2015)
New single from one of Jack White's bands, heard on 6 Music on this afternoon. Very Led Zeppy, particularly The Immigrant Song.
