Flower Friday 11 Handel

...is the name of this rose still blooming magnificently on the corner of our house.  I took a few shots this morning, some just flowers, some with added spiders and hoverflies.  In the end, I decided this hoverfly should star in my entry for Biker Bear's very popular Flower Friday challenge.  I was happy with several of my shots but liked the way that in this one the hoverfly's body can be seen quite clearly through his(her?) wings.

Another anniversary of the appalling events of 9/11 occurs today: there must be so many who can never forget the horror.
