Damp Dahlia

A grey and damp day.  BB was playing football in North Berwick this morning.  I walked from North Berwick to Dirleton along the John Muir Way and the boys picked me up on their way home.  Once home, we all needed showers to warm up.

BB and TT had shopping to do this afternoon so we went down town.  TT bought a new pair of running shoes (to add to his extensive collection) – but they were in the sale.  BB wanted a gum shield.  He also tried to persuade TT that he needed a hockey stick.  Like me, TT wasn’t persuaded.

We walked through town and round by the river and admired the “oriental garden” – a piece of waste ground that has been turned into a lovely garden by our local gardening community group.  They have just been awarded a gold medal and best medium sized town in the Beautiful Scotland awards.  A really great effort.  This damp dahlia is one of the reasons they won.

The sun is making an appearance now – late in the day.  It will be dark soon.
