No Place for Vegetarians

Today is one of the Heritage Days in Stratford so we went for a wander round before coffee. The town hall was open, guarded by red coats, though one didn't do too much talking, see extra.

We wanted to visit The Old Slaughterhouse, the new arts and heritage centre behind Sheep Street. This is now the home of the Escape Arts, having recently moved from Bell Court Town Square.  The photo shows the original meat hooks, complete with authentic flies.

They had a very good photo exhibition comparing early 1900s shops and street with today's equivalent, not always a change for the better.
