Arduaine

A much better weather day.

This morning we went a few miles North to Arduaine gardens. We had visited the gardens in June when we were staying nearer Oban and it was nice to see the contrast in the gardens later in the year. We enjoyed walking round with Maeve the Deerhound, both through the gardens and up to the viewpoint where we could look out to sea.

Lunch at the Crafty Kitchen at Ardfern.

Later we went back South to Kilmartin Glen where we parked at the standing stones car park and took Maeve for a walk up the glen to Kilmartin village and back the same route past the standing stones, the Temple Wood stone circles, and the cairns in the linear cemetery which runs down one side of the glen.

Photo is in the greenhouse at Arduaine.
Extras are the standing stones in Kilmartin glen and Temple Wood.
