Carsaig Bay across to Jura

Another dry day with lots of sunny sunshine. Some cloud later in the afternoon.

This morning we drove to Tayvallich and from there walked with Maeve the Deerhound the mile or so across to Carsaig. The light on the sea was wonderful, with the clear water over the different seabed areas of sand, seaweed, and rock giving a range of colours in the view across to the isle of Jura. We spent some time at Carsaig on the jetty and then back by the little car park sitting on of the benches. We walked back to Tayvallich for lunch at the tearoom where we sat out on the outside decking where well behaved dogs are welcome. In our experience the food is always very good.

After lunch we took the car over to Carsaig and sat for a while longer looking at the view and reading our books. Later we drove back along the road by the Crinan Canal and went into Lochgilphead for a while to get some groceries. We tried the Deli and local butchers.

On the way back to the cottage at Dunadd we turned off the main road so Apothecary7 could have a visit to the cup and ring marked stone slabs at Achnabreac.
