Mood : Gloom mixed with .....

The mood of this small group outside the Civic is probably a mix of gloom (in part the result of a cold, wet, gloomy day), defiance (against distant forces) and friendly banter (so not all gloom).

It's a small demonstration against the government's Trade Union Bill, put before Parliament today. The people they are demonstrating against, many miles away at Westminster, will be blissfully unaware of this little gathering. In fact, following Saturday's events, their mood is probably very upbeat.
