The Age of Steam.

This morning we drove to Pickering, as J wanted to visit a model railway shop. but sadly, ( not really) it had closed down. We wandered up the main street, and saw a flea market. So far, so good, but not for long, as J spotted a stall selling, yes you've guessed it, model railways bits. He bought two carriages,  in the blood & custard colour scheme. Another half an hour later, and we went for lunch. It  was in a wonderful little deli, called Feast, and the food was amazing. We then got back to the car, and drove to a little place called, Levisham. Luckily this train was waiting in the station, as it was building up boiler pressure. After the train had pulled out, J asked the signal man if he could take some photos in the signal box, As you can see we both went in and took some photos. His name was Pete, from Gainsborough, which is a 98 mile trip to get to work. You must see my extra photos. We are so glad that we stopped at this little station, as the experience was magic. It rained most of the day, but the sun shone on us.
