Doing the Locomotion.

We went up to Grosmont this morning, and the car park was full. J said to go to the ticket office to get the parking ticket, and the Sir Nigel Gresley was just pulling out. I managed  to take this just as he pulled out of the station. When I got back to the car with the ticket, J was not amused, as he missed it. This is the train that is going to have a boiler overhaul , and Sunday is  it's last journey for a few years. After we had managed to find a parking space, we walked down to the engine sheds, and you have to walk through a long dark tunnel. J bought some meccano , which is another hobby of his. We walked back up to the station, and had a snack in the station cafe.  We were at the station for about two hours, and we then drove on to Saltburn by  the sea. We parked the car and had a walkabout, but were a bit disappointed, so our next stop was Sandsend, but we didn't stop. The weather was amazing, so today the sun really did shine on me.
