Celebration

Today the flags are flying from Edinburgh Castle under another blue sky to celebrate our wedding anniversary. There is much to celebrate having spent 19 years together, 17 of them in the married state without killing each other. There have been some near misses, but to date no blood has been shed. We will saunter forth tonight for a special meal, drink a toast to the future and our health, allowing us many more anniversaries.

I had thought to write a blog suggesting that the somewhat erratic flying of the Union Jack on top of the castle was a metaphor for the state of the Union, but really on the anniversary of the Referendum, I am tired at having all the old arguments for and against dragged up again. I was convinced that last year we had resolved the issue for a generation, but apparently not.

Incidentally is anyone else finding that Blipfoto is on a 'go slow' today?
