A Hint of Things to Come

There was no escaping the cherry tree leaves sprinkling the grass as his Lordship and I walked over the Meadows this morning. It seems but yesterday that we watched the glorious pink blossom herald the unfurling of the new leaves and now the season has turned full circle. It would be easy to become depressed at the imminent leaf fall, a metaphor for our own short existence.

Moving on without too much in depth thinking on that topic, I braved the city centre at lunch time to meet up with daughter#1. Over soup and scone, we exchanged jackets- a bright green one too small for me for a bright pink one too big for her. Sunglasses may have to be worn.
