Paul Hollywood's Stilton, Walnut and Pear Bread

With all this creative stuff going on with apples I was inspired to bake some bread. I bought the ingredients yesterday and in amongst a myriad of other things to do today made the loaf. Came out alright despite being a very sticky dough after adding the diced pear. I didn't mix it in very well as some parts of the bread are free of any bits while others are in solid lumps. It didn't spoil the texture of the bread but it was very difficult to mix the quantity of stuff into the dough.

Most of the afternoon was spent at the allotment trying to get on top of the weeds. When we clear them, I just think we're making more room and creating light for the next generation of weeds to push through. The allotment was in a bad state though as all we've done in the past month or so is harvest crops. A couple more visits will see it right though (we hope)
