Morning Tea With a Friend and a Sparrow

This morning a friend, a sparrow and I enjoyed morning tea at a wonderful cafe called Jester House. It offers great food in an idyllic rural setting plus a great range of quirky and interesting artifacts to interact with or just admire.

There is a cottage in the shape of the shoe in which the old woman of nursery rhyme  fame lived, and games like naughts and crosses and chess using giant pieces.

The children's playground is like a small wood and contains many large fantasy animals recycled from tree stumps and other found wood that the children can climb on and over using their imaginations. No sign of plastic slides, swings and roundabouts, but instead things to stimulate imaginative play.

Feeding the eels in the creek is another popular activity and all around is  unusual and attractive artwork.

In the extras are just a few of the attractions:  part of the chess set with the teapot, cup and saucer stand behind; a boat made of saw blades; and on the wishing well - 3 hands reaching out to clutch the edge.
