Balancing

I could also have called this Teetering. There's a very fine line between the two, just the tiniest micro-adjustment in placement. This tower would be toppled by the merest breath of wind, of which there was none this morning. I woke up too early in a sea of fog and climbed the moor in the hope of breaking out into sunshine. But I never surfaced.

I could see glimpses of the sun and blue sky above but despite waiting half an hour at the top for a clearance the mist was too stubborn. I occupied myself playing with the rocks at the cairn.

The mist did eventually clear to leave another beautiful day, mellow and metaphoric.
