Salo

Salo is a small town about 5 Kms north of Desenzano. We drove over there after breakfast. It might have been nice to take a ferry, but the route from Desenzano to Salo goes the wrong way, and while the ferry gets there eventually, it takes a long time.

There was some sort of event taking place in the town along the waterfront. We never did quite make out what it was celebrating however. We had a coffee and later lunch at bars on the waterfront, and spent time exploring the town. Drove back to Desnzano in the afternoon, arriving in time for an aperitivo before dinner.
