Pukeahu

Pukeahu in Wellington is the National War Memorial Park which commemorates the more than 300,000 New Zealanders who have served in the armed forces in overseas wars, and especially the 30,000 who died doing so.

The park was created as the key Government project to acknowledge the centenary of New Zealand's participation in World War I. 

This building is on the edge of the park, and was built during the reign of King George V; the date above the door is 1911. It is known as the "General Headquarters Building (former)".
