At last........

I have been waiting for ages for the autumnal moths to arrive and at last one finally has!
This beauty, so cleverly coloured to blend in with the autumn leaves is the Sallow Cirrhia icteritia, a species common in most of Britain.  It flies in September and October, and is quite variable with the relatively frequent ab, flavescens having no darker markings at all.
So, now all I need is to catch some more of these wonderful autumnal moths!
