Newcastle Downunder

Four Eyes

This little Lynx spider would have to be the Greta Garbo of the spider world.  Shy and retiring.   When I got too close it scampered underneath this heliotrope flower.  One of the flowers last year formed a map of Australia and I really should have blipped it but I kept waiting for it to be inhabited and it never was.

Now if you can bear to look, the markings on the Lynx are really lovely.  Even little blue flecks.  And really it wasn't much bigger than that wee jumping spider.  maybe 2/3rds of my little finger nail.  Before you go saying anything they are kept short.

Another grey day today.  DFO as Tussock and Moose says.
