There you go, Aigo ...

A few years ago a policeman, José Eduardo Aigo, was shot when he stopped a car with three hunters inside. It was a routine affair which turned out badly with Aigo dying of his wounds. The case became a cause cèlebré in Neuquén and indeed nationally, not least because one of the alleged assailants was the son of the Intendente (Mayor) of San Martín de los Andes, the town where I live.  This monument was erected close to Pilolil [where I occasionally go birding] in his memory.  A sad case of a decent man, husband and father doing his duty.
