Ruffled Feathers..

Not very mobile today so took a brief trip to the estuary looking for a quick blip.

The white faced herons seldom let me down . I was looking through the view finder at a heron  stalking crabs, when he suddenly shook himself as a dog does - from top to bottom. Combined with his stance he  looked a bit like an emu.

As an extra is my reveal of the mystery macro from yesterday. Australian  Blippers had an unfair advantage and had no problem recognising a gum nut which is the hard woody fruit of the Eucalyptus family.
