Day at a Time

Woodside

My second trip to the Borders in the inside of a week. Left home in brilliant autumn sunshine but the trip was marred by heavy mist most of the way. Over Soutra it was properly foggy and wet. However we reached Monteviot and the garden at Woodside. It was formerly the fruit garden for Monteviot House and is a beautiful Victorian walled garden. It has a fantastic tea room with many cakes. The little bird in the extras was having lunch too.  Here is the very productive garden. It's not a great picture but the best I could do.

Lyn was riding at Monteviot in preparation for next week. It was a long way to go but well worth the trip. The sun shone all the way home and the Border countryside looked wonderful.
