I KNOW IT'S NOT PINK! AND PINKTOBER 17

During this month of making people more aware of breast cancer, which can affect both women and men, it has sometimes been difficult to find something pink every day that will fit in, not only with the BCAM challenge, but also with the daily one.

However, today there is no specific challenge other than the BCAM one, so I decided that I would blip our butternut squash.  If you look at my blip for 23rd September, you will see that I said we would like just ONE butternut squash but we were very excited a few days ago to see that the plant has at least SIX!  Of course, now that the weather is much colder, they may not get very big but Mr. HCB is determined that we will be picking them much earlier next year - so that is HIS challenge for 2016.

We all know that butternut squashes aren't pink - and these small ones are quite green, so a bit of thinking “outside the box” and here is my blip for today.

Off to meet our Saturday morning coffee club friends and then some shopping - the family of a dear friend who died last week have asked that we wear something blue to her funeral so I just might have to buy a new top in memory of Phil.

I hope you all have a great weekend - and whatever you do, be blessed.

There's a time in your life
where you're not quite sure where you are.
You think everything's perfect,
but it's not perfect...
Then one day you wake up and
you can't quite picture yourself
in the situation you're in.
But the secret is,
if you can picture yourself doing anything in life,
YOU CAN DO IT!
