Flower Friday 16 Sugar paste blooms

Very late in putting this up as once again I seem to have been very busy, achieving not very much!
This entry for FF16 features the beautifully moulded sugar paste flowers that were on top of daughter #1's birthday cake last week:  they and the cake were made by a very talented friend of daughter #2 who has a successful business making the most wondrous cakes.
The cup and saucer belong to me and were given to me, along with a teaplate, when I was about 7: as you can see by the fact that the set is still all intact, I have always treasured it.

Tomorrow, daughter #1 is having her tonsils and adenoids removed...
