Moored in the Channel Through the Rocks

12.3C and mostly cloudy with thin cloud cover. Some sunny spells in the afternoon. Zephyr.

Maeve and I went for a walk after lunch. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. The cauliflower harvesting crew was back in action in the field just past the church. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. We crossed over and went down the little private road and over the level crossing on the Easthaven side of the burn.

The tide was well out so it was a bit easier to cross the burn today. We wandered along the beach to Westhaven. The beach is still in a mess with big stones everywhere and lots of seaweed. Valhalla A came in from sea and moored as we were walking along, and by the time we reached the fishermen's huts the skipper had come ashore with his catch and gone back with the tractor to bring the dinghy up onto the dry sand.

We came back along East Row, where I stopped to take this picture of Valhalla A moored in the channel through the rocks, then we crossed back by the road bridge over the railway then carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.
