Dark Clouds at Crinan Basin

Wet start to the day.
I expect wet and windy to become the common theme of the week.
I have seen a weather forecast.

After a morning visit to Kilmartin Glen and lunch at the museum cafe we went to Crinan. As we drove along the road to Bellanoch and then along to Crinan we were surprised to see some blue sky appear. By the time we got to Crinan the rain was off and we had time to take Maeve the Deeerhound for a walk round the basin by the sea lock before the rain threatened again.

We spent most of the afternoon by the water at Crinan ... walking, sitting in the car looking out over the sea, reading, seeing Vic 32, and having afternoon tea in the cafe (where there was an exhibition of paintings and prints which we enjoyed very much).

The boats in the picture are in the basin at Crinan beside the sea lock of the Crinan Canal, and beyond the lighthouse you can see the sea and the hills across the loch.

Later we went to Lochgilphead to stock up on groceries and have a wander up and down the main street in between haevy showers.
