Lock 42 from the Poole Aqueduct.

Hiving a day or two in hand on our journey back to the marina we decided to go a little way up the Macclesfield Canal.  Another part of the system I hadn't visited before.

The entrance to the Mac from the T & M is probably unique.  Travelling south as we were you go up lock 42 then 41and turn right on to the Mac.  By then you are higher than the T & M so an aqueduct can take you across and on you go.

I was determined to get a shot from the Aqueduct which would hopefully show the uniqueness.  As luck would have it there was a boat going down lock 42 as we passed over.  I should add that, much to Clickychick's dismay I was standing on the roof of Solace to be able to get the shot.
