The Jean Genie

I took TheAphid along to a Record Fair this morning. We'd seen the signs for it a few weeks ago and decided it would be worth a look. It was so good flicking through the singles and albums, chatting to the store holders about album art and what you don't get with a download these days. It brought back so many wonderful memories of saving up pocket money whilst deciding what record to buy, and then of course bringing it home to play.
We had a great time choosing albums and singles and then waited for Rik to get the player down from the loft. I chose a 45 lifted the arm up to move across and then we heard a very sad groan from the motor. Yup the belt had broken and our lovely records will now have to wait to be played another day. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait.
