A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

Morning

You can tell the weather was rather cool for the garden party - there's beer left! The older fogies were drinking tea; and who knows what the younger ones consumed.

For the avoidance of doubt, we already have a solution to a beer surplus; thank you for your kind offers...

The deflated castle is still there as the suppliers are in no hurry to collect.

We had a lazy morning gathering the debris and sorting the recycling. Pleased to only fill half a bin-bag of landfill rubbish from the party - mind you the recycling and compost bins are bursting (and we've two 'compostable waste' wheelie bins).

Dropped M off in Cambridge to catch the coach back 'home'. (Just where is 'home' when you're a student?)

The afternoon had a different flavour as we attended the "Meeting for Worship to celebrate the Grace of God as shown in the life of" an elderly member of our Quaker Meeting.

I like the idea of marking a death by celebrating their life; though it can be frustrating that so often you only find out about the spectacular things people achieved in their life, when they're dead.
