Floral Matchsticks

I had been saving up for a macro lens for my camera for some time......this afternoon it arrived.
Very VERY exciting.
I didn't have much have much time to play with it before it got dark........ there were things that needed doing after spending hours chin wagging with my friend.

The day was dull...and now its raining...I'm not complaining.... we have had a run of the most exquisite weather for over a week now.

The flowers on this Bromeliad reminds me of matchsticks...the colors are wonderful and it's nice to see some of the tops breaking open to reveal what I think are the seeds.

Thank you so much for the hearts and stars for that sweet Pelican yesterday...I got to spotlight .....that was exciting.

I have heard a few people mentioning of late that they have been ready to throw in the blip towel.......and then they post a blip and get so many wonderful comments they have changed their minds....I think its a testament to the power of the kind words of others .....to have ones images and words witnessed by many.... without too much fuss......it's a damn fine thing.
