Now, as I see it......

Vulcans in formation

Sadly, it looks as though I have already seen the Vulcan flying for the last time. It has one final flight before it is grounded for ever but one of the conditions from Doncaster airport where it is based is that, to avoid disruption from people going to the airport to see it, the flight takes place at very short notice. There is also only 15 minutes left of flying time after which it will no longer be insured so any flight is bound to be short and not travel far from Doncaster. Never mind; I've managed to see it flying six times this year and also had an 'under-wing' tour of the plane at Doncaster so I can't complain but it will be a sad day for all concerned with the plane when the final flight goes ahead.

By way of consolation, W baked these biscuits today using a Vulcan cookie cutter we got from the team at the last airshow. And very tasty they are too!
