The Last Locks

We traveled from Lock 8 on the Erie Canal down to the Hudson River. Most of the last locks were in a short section that went down (if I remember correctly) 175 feet. They came one right after the other. It was overcast and raining. This old tug was in the waterway along side.

Today Arvin and I napped for three hours. That really was wonderful. At lunchtime my first husband Tom, his wife Joan and one of her grey standard poodles met us in Troy where we docked. We had lunch with Tom and Joan at the Dinosaur Barbecue. It was great to see them.

Right now it is after dinner and we are enjoying a three piece jazz band. Banjo, clarinet and bass. They are very good.

After sleep both Arvin and I are feeling great. More news tomorrow. Thanks for your comments and stars.
