The Edge of the Wold

Sunrise over Middlebarrow

I was expecting both a cloud layer and enveloping fog this morning, and there was neither - just mist cloaking the lower-lying ground.  Gus patiently waited with me to see the sun rise, now as seen from the Knott, over Middlebrow and the wooded whalebacks of the AONB.

The fog came back in the afternoon and the sun dissolved into grey.

In between, I travelled to Preston for a meeting, dipping in and out of fog and arriving in autumnal sunshine.

I'm still feeling a bit ropey - perhaps more the antibiotics now, than the infection itself.  Another early night needed tonight.
