Desperately seeking

it was Ali's turn for the flu jab today! The Man and I have had ours without any doubt's raised but the vet was cautious. "Is it for the cattery?" she asked. She gave Ali a thorough examination and said that the dilemma was:- Ali is an old cat and the vaccine could cause her to be ill and possibly die. On the other hand:- Ali is an old cat and not having the vaccine could leave her vulnerable to infection and she could die.

"Should I not go to be with my grandchildren at Christmas?"  "We'll give her the vaccine!" So, Ali got her jab, and a manicure and also a drive to Berrier, a few miles from where we live, She came with us for the ride so that we could reclaim a good strong rope we had used to repair a farm fence a month ago.

The farmer had just added a couple of bits of binder twine and left our rope in place. We removed our rope but left him an extra piece of wood to help fill the gap. There were no stock in the field now to need it.
