Down at heel...

We fought our way through the gales to Boston, and stopped for a short while by the docks to do some botanising, before we summoned courage to go to the hospital. It was a grey old day, and the semi-derelict and down-at-heel warehouses looked timeless, hence the choice of processing.

Having steeled ourselves for the worst, we were pleasantly surprised to find M up and about in her room. Her speech has been affected, but we were able to understand most of what she had to say, as long as we concentrated and there wasn't too much background noise. She is such a fighter, and the stroke hasn't altered her basic personality at all. The medics are all amazed at her recovery, given that she had very little speech yesterday. Although they're planning to send her home in a day or two she wanted to talk about her funeral - we're going to make sure it's just how she wants it!
