A Has Bee-n

I haven't shot bug macro for a while for Blip. Not ideal weather for it with Barney's wind and rain and there are not many insects about now. The Paddy's Pride ivy entwined with the grape vine was attracting lots of sleepy wasps, tiny little fruit flies and a solitary dung fly.

I found the bee above nectaring on a late-blooming hogweed. It should have stayed at home cuddled up in its hive. The wind was tossing the inflorescence around alarmingly and it seemed to be confused, adopting weird poses with its legs stuck out. It eventually dropped into the undergrowth. I doubt that it will emerge.
